Music
Ministry

St. Thomas' Church is a music loving place that has placed praise in song as a high priority in worship. In addition to an original working pipe organ, St. Thomas' also has a grand piano and a complete set of hand bells. In the past, Cantatas and Oratorios were accompanied by hired orchestra and recently, modern works have been accompanied by keyboard players, guitar, fife, and violin.

St. Thomas' has chosen to use both BCP and BAS services, and music selection reflects this with the use of the blue hymn book and the introduction of songs from the shared license library, which are then printed on bulletin inserts. The choir director encourages suggestions for music ministry which has led to the introduction of the "March for Jesus" music in church, for dance presentation, and for Sunday School action songs in hymn spots.

The Senior Choir currently has about 10 members who participate in the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday. They reherse on Thursday nights from 8:00 to about 9:30.

The Junior Choir rehearses to do performances for Christmas and Easter, with about 10 youth participating. The Lessons and Carols performance is a highlight of the Christmas Season.

The Wandering Minstrels are a musical-dramatic group involving youth members aged 12 through university. They mount two performances annually, one in the winter, and one in the spring.
