  1.   HURON UNIVERSITY'S SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE TO THE LICENTIATE IN THEOLOGY PROGRAM

    Huron University in partnership with the Diocese of Huron is offering the new subscription service to all students from the Diocese of Huron, joining the Canadian Anglican Leaders and Learners network to access all courses in Huron's Licentiate in Theology Program - Free of ChargePOSTER

  2. WORKSHOP COURSES AT CANTERBURY COLLEGE

    •    Allyship and Faith Without Favouritism. If congregations want to send a group to either of these courses, Canterbury would like to extend a group rate! Usually we charge $60/pp but for groups of five or more, we are offering a rate of $150/congregation.  Groups would have to register in advance, but can do so by contacting the Principal, the Rev Dr Jennifer Boyes-Garbin.

  3. The Essex Deanery Lay Leadership Training Classes: Lay leadership courses for 2025 and early 2026.
    These classes will be held in person at Canterbury College. Classes are from 10:00 am - 2:30 pm with 30 minutes for lunch.

    We have partnered with Canterbury College for the courses and they are providing us with the technology support to also bring the classes by zoom. Please join us for one or for all of the classes.

    This year we have decided to focus on the core subjects.

  4. Baptismal Living: A Series of Online Workshops
    Saturdays from January to March 2026
    10am to 11:30 am, Online 

    All are welcome to attend a series of online workshops on living our baptismal promises, sponsored by the Deanery of London.  These sessions are an ideal for:

    •    group discussion or personal reflection

    •    preparing candidates for baptism, confirmation, reception, or renewal of baptismal vows

    •    anyone wishing to reflect on their baptismal promises, and how God is calling them to live them.

    Anyone involved in ministry or passionate about supporting mental health and wellness initiatives within their faith community. Held by the Canadian Association for Parish Nursing Ministry (CAPNM).

    Ignite Event - Share Word Global, Share your Faith

     On Saturday January 17th, at 10:00 a.m. In St. Paul’s Community Hall, 302 St. George St. Port Dover

    Guest Speaker - Jeffry Cornfoot

    At an Ignite training event, you will develop the skills you need to share the gospel in your everyday life.

    Come and join us, bring a family member, bring a neighbour, bring a friend. 

    Following the session, a  light lunch will be provided at approximately 1:00 p.m.

  2. ST. MATTHEW'S PRAYER VIGIL – Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2026

    You are invited to a Prayer Vigil hosted by St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in observance of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.  Friday, January 23, 2026  at  6:00 PM – 7:00 PM  St. Matthew’s Anglican Church  1600 Norfolk Street, Windsor, Ontario (across from Glenwood Public School) Join us in prayer and reflection as we come together in the spirit of unity, inspired by Ephesians 4:4: “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the hope of your calling.”

    Choral Evensong Series

    The regular services of Choral Evensong at St. George’s will continue in 2026 on the fourth Sunday of every month, as follows:

    •   January 25  •   February 22  •   March 23  •   April 26  •   May 24  •   June 28

    •   Summer break - July & August

    •   All services will begin at 4:00 pm.

    What is Evensong?

    St. Paul's Cathedral in the UK describes Evensong as follows:

    "This service is led by the choir, who sing responses, canticles, an anthem, and the psalms set for the day on our behalf, allowing us to experience the beauty of the music in this iconic setting. There are some readings from the Bible, and prayers are said for the Church, the World and ourselves."

    •   The 64th Annual Lenten Noon Hour Interdenominational Services

    These interdenominational services are held weekly for 7 weeks during Lent from 12:10pm until 12:35pm followed by a sandwich luncheon in the parish hall.  The theme this year is “The Cost of Discipleship”.  Free will offering with proceeds to CK Hospice, Outreach for Hunger, and Salvation Army Food Bank. “EVERYONE IS WELCOME”
